For my work on the feature film Little Big Panda, I contributed as both a character designer and an animator. Directed by Michael Schoemann—known for animation
classics like The Magic Voyage and Millionaire Dogs—and veteran animator Greg Manwaring, whose iconic credits include The Lion King and Who Framed Roger Rabbit?,
this project was a massive German-Chinese co-production.
I began my involvement at Stenarts in Berlin, where I was responsible for the initial designs of the movie's main characters under the guidance of renowned
Berlin comic artist Thorsten Kiecker.
Following the design phase, I relocated to Barcelona to join the animation team, transitioning into the role of animator
to bring those characters to life. It was a privilege to be a key part of such a landmark production; at the time of its 2011 release,
it was the most ambitious animated co-production in Chinese history, with a record-breaking budget of approximately $53 million (350 million yuan).
